 1. AKN Annual Meeting (will be the in-person meeting)

·     Date: November 14, 2022 (Monday) 

·     Time: 6:30 - 9:30 PM (seated dinner included) 

·     Location: San Diego (venue to be arranged)

 2. AKN Outstanding Research Awards

Overview:  

·       AKN will present AKN Outstanding Research Awards in four different categories: Postdoctoral abroad, Postdoctoral in Korea, Pre-doctoral abroad, and Pre-doctoral in Korea

·       Award recipients will be selected according to 1) the quality of their abstract and 2) their research accomplishments during the current career status.

·       An award recipient must be physically present at the award ceremony (if not, the awardee will be disqualified). Each award recipient will receive a $400 (pre-doctoral) or $500 prize (postdoctoral) prize along with an award certificate. 

·       Deadline - October 31, 2022 (Monday) 

What to send: 

·       a full CV (including complete publication record) for all applicants

·       a copy of your first-author SfN abstract for poster/oral presentation and related information (e.g., presentation time) for student and postdoctoral applicants

·       The format of the application material - one PDF file.

 Application should be sent as e-mail attachments to:  

·       KSBNS (neuro@ksbns.org), if you are from an institute located in Korea.

·       Dr. Jungsu Kim (jk123@iu.edu), if you are from an institute located outside Korea including the US.

 

Disqualifications:  

·       previous winners of the same category awards

·       applicants who are over-qualified (e.g., over 7 years in the current position)

·       non-presenting author of the abstract (for students/postdoctoral applicants)
