한국뇌신경과학회와 일본신경과학회 (Japan Neuroscience Society; JNS)에서는 양국간의 학술교류증대 및 공동연구확대를 위한노력을 함께 하고 있습니다. 이와 같은 노력의 일환으로 일본신경과학회에서는 정기학술대회에 참가하는 한국 측의 젊은과학자들에게 Travel Awards를 제공하고 수혜자 후보 선발은 우리 학회가 맡아왔습니다. 올해도 아래 공지와 같이 일본신경과학회에서 주관하는 JNS Travel Awards 후보를 선발합니다. 본 학회와 일본신경과학회에서 시도하는 양국간의 교류가 풍성한 수확을 거둘 수 있도록 적극적인 지원을 바랍니다.

2. NEURO2026 Travel Awards 지원안내

• 지원대상: 한국뇌신경과학회 회원으로 신경과학 분야에 종사하는 박사과정 대학원생, 박사후 연구원 및 임용 5년 미만의 Young PI (지원 마감일 기준)
• 지원마감: 2025. 11. 21 (금)
• 지원서류: 1) CV (publication list 포함), 2) NEURO2026에서 발표할 영문 초록
• 제출형식: CV와 초록을 한 개의 PDF file로 변환 (파일명은 JNS Travel Awards 2026_영문이름.pdf)
• 제출처: 한국뇌신경과학회 이메일 (neuro@ksbns.org)로 제출

3. 지원규모 및 조건

• 등록비 면제 및 Reception 초청
• Travel Fund 90,000 JPY 제공 (여행 경비 및 호텔 숙박비를 포함하며 학회 당일 현장에서 엔화로 지급)
• 항공권 및 호텔 예약 등은 수혜자가 직접 예약 (지원금액을 초과하는 경비는 본인 부담)
• 필수조건: 1) NEURO2026에 참가하여 초록 발표 (발표언어 영어), 2) International Exchange Meeting for Young Researchers (2026. 7. 29 17:00 개최 예정) 참석

Application for the Travel Awards for NEURO2026, the joint meeting of the 49th Annual Meeting of the Japan Neuroscience Society (JNS), the 69th Annual Meeting of the Japanese Society for Neurochemistry, and the 36th Annual Meeting of the Japanese Neural Network Society, which will be held at Kobe Convention Center in Kobe, Japan from July 30 to August 2, 2026 (https://neuro2026.jnss.org/en/) is available.

Here’s the information regarding the Travel Awards.

Benefits:

• Travel Award winners will receive a partial support for travel expenses including accommodation fee (90,000 JPY). Awardees are expected to make their own travel and accommodation arrangements.
• The meeting registration fee is waived.
• Travel Award winners are invited to the International Exchange Meeting for Young Researchers and a get-together party on the day before NEURO2026 to facilitate interaction among young researchers from abroad and Japan.
• Travel Award winners are also invited to a reception during NEURO2026 (if held).

Conditions:

• Recipients will receive the award at the meeting venue in Japanese yen.
• “The International Exchange Meeting for Young Researchers” is a mandatory event. This meeting will be held on July 29, 2026 at around 17 oclock. So please make sure to have sufficient time to travel from the airport to the venue.
• Persons who do not attend NEURO2026 and do not make a presentation will have their award revoked.

Eligibility: Applicants should be 

• a member of KSBNS
• a young principal investigator with 5 years or fewer experience in their current position
• a postdoctoral fellow
• a late stage PhD student
• from an institute located in Korea

• A full CV including the publication list
• A copy of their first-author abstract which will be presented in NEURO2026
• The format of the application material is one PDF file (Save your application file by JNS Travel Awards 2026_your full name.pdf).
